just use a normal syphon, the bomb fits all the standard types of inch and half syphons,  |

They fox a lot of plumbers who have never seen them, When the 'bomb' fails, which is a common fault with them, An unknowing plumber will think the drain is blocked because the pan fills with water, The syphoic toilet sucks the contents of the pan out with a syphon action and the cistern just tops up the pan level again, to fix it you need to split the cistern from the pan and like most toilets the bolts will be rusted and siezed, the rest is easy,  |

if the drain is blocked, you can still plunge from the pan and it will shift the blockage just like a normal pan,

Not may places sell syphonic toilets (if any) these days.
They where a craze in the 70s; they had all but disappeared by the mid eighties, yet in the states they are still very popular.
They did seem to block up a lot and that second trap would cause a lot of problems if a toilet fresh got stuck in it!

I remember when i was a lad, there was no toilet paper, Everyone had a nail on the bog door and we used to cut up newsapaper into squares, I was't a plumber then but i never heard of blocked drains, if you used newspaper today, your toilet would block every day,,,so whats changed ? smiley-confused002asak2
