Expert voice over there tom certainly explained what was going on (you could become a rival for David Attenborough ). I did have clear disposable gloves on, granted they don't give you any protection from a getting a nick off that sharp porcelain. If I do happen to nick my finger whilst wearing those disposable gloves the glove quickly fills with blood and it looks like you've chopped your finger off when you first notice it !! Tappy,

Hi Guys Just wondering how you would fit a pan connector to the old drain collar Cheers It was a straight S trap WC replacement job rob, and after all that chopping I wasn't going to "splash the cash" on a multikwick . Just roll up a sheet of old newspaper and put it around the collar then flaunch it with sand and cement (much the same as it was). It's all very old fashioned to do this these days, yet the odd occasion may still arise when you feel it would be a better job to leave the old collar intact! Tappy,

New suppliers always try the "no one makes them anymore" routine, but I guess this argument falls down when the buyers point out that the old suppliers (who just lost the contract) could get them, no trouble.
A good plumbers merchant rather than a builders merchant would be the place to go for one.
Someone once told me if there is someone who will keep buying them someone will keep making them.
