A 50 year old seat was replaced with. £9.99 wickes special
Now then, the parts the fix through the pan are lovely & tight.
BUT the old chap is complaining that the seat moves side to side a bit.
I've had a look as yes it does. The only way I can fix it is to put some sort of washer or some tube (?) either side.
Any thoughts?
I don't think the old chap is going to slide off & crap on the floor but it's bothering him!
Thx all
Rct

Thx Tom
How can I explain it, the seat is tight but where the brackets go through the toilet to be tightened is fine, the 2 bits that fit into the bracket so the seat lifts up moves side to side into the brackets a few mm each side
Sorry if spelling is no good I can't see my screen properly as its all smashed after I dropped the phone yesterday!!

Hi rocket, If I'm reading this right, If you take the seat off the toilet there's a screw underneath the bit that sits on the toilet pan to give adjustment fot the distance the seat sits from the cistern, this allows the seat lid to stay up fot when us blokes use the toilet, It may be that whats loose,
