yes it has a metal chuck, I don't know where they are made but you can only get erbauer from screwfix, I have a titan 240 drill and its a good un but I once bought a titan cordless and it was so bad i sent it back, I dunno if it was one off, it put me off titan cordless for life,

I've had one of those titan cordless drills aj for over 3 years now with no problems (granted it's not in heavy use). You get two batteries as well (which is a big problem with cordless drills) which I rotate. In fact you can hear the titan in use in "tappys top tip" on toms tips video section! Looks like mines now the old model, so I'll probably have to buy yet another cordless when their life expires

have you had any luck with the clone batteries dick. i bought some in the past for a bosch drill They were no good over heating nd not wouldnt hold a charge for long they were lithium ion based. have the clones improved?

I've bought the 'Toolsdown' ones & they are OK. But hey for under 20 quid it's worth a punt.
