Given the choice its solder for me,its past pedigree speaks for it's self.
i've tried various products and they've just not got that time pedigree which removes the uncertainty, which is basically any profit in the job if there's a call back.
Now that's my feelings but there are work areas which I would and do try new materials and products but the location allows it,easy access and limited damage liabilities.

I agree wholehearted battle, soldered copper is what plumbing is all about for me, Many call me a dinosaur and they are probably right because plastic has took over as the most used type of plumbing material, whoever i'm working for, I recommend copper because i know if its done right i can go to my grave knowing that work will still be working right, this new glue stuff i've never used, but i'll do a vid and test it, another myth buster type video,

I'll ping the details over Tom & I'm grateful for you taking the time to do a video.
Im with everyone else, solder every time. I've glued 'dry' copper tube, like boiler blow offs, cylinder D2s etc. It'll be great to read everyone's views when they see Tom's video. Cheers chaps.....👍

I got called to a job a couple of years ago to fix some leaks , i was told that the plumber had used this " NEW GLUEING " system to connect the pipe work and that they were now having problems with leaks , the place was a disaster waiting to happen , i made my excuses and fucked off quick time having told them the whole job needs to be re done . Glued copper pipes my arse..........That stuff is shit in a bottle waiting to cause misery for the unwary.............

I can't disagree PS & I would be very reluctant to use it on anything high pressure or temperature. I'll await the comments after our genial host has kindly done the video. Oh it'll not change the world, that's for another day, but gluing up the odd blow-off in a tight corner it may help someone.
I was at a house full of Hunter Genova a few months ago, fuck it must be installed 30-35 years ago!! It's in amazing nick & looks as if it'll last for ever!!

Can't fault the video Tom and not wanting to give you work but I would of liked to of seen the following:-
What would happen to the joint if you used a freeze kit beside it then a give it a knock or two. Then repeat the same test with boiling water and knocking procedure and to finish a heat test with the torch and twist and knock the pipe - all completed testes to to checked for water soundness at mains pressure then I would spend my money and have a bottle.
