Tax man can do one, the boiler was only 2 years old, about £3000 to buy new with out flue pump and vessel, bloke had a right bargain!

can't argue about that clart, Vailent are top boiler, but buying a used one is a gamble, like you say if its not gunged up its worth it,,,you can't dodge the taxman for the scrap though, he knows what you've had and he'll want his 20%, they made it law to pay by cheque or transfere for a reason, blood suckin twats,

the best days for me was in 2004, I was doing refurb work for the council, bathrooms and kitchens, I was doing a bathroom and kitchen every day, at the end of each week i'd wiegh in, £200 was an average amount and it was CASH then, happy days, I let the gypo's have the cast iron baths plus taps and wastes but they had to take the bog and basin too, which they did,
