Today seemed to be a bit fresh this morning in the North East and got two calls for central heating issues.
First fault wireless thermostat not doing as it's told so no heating.
Action:- new batteries in the transmitter unit as this customer moves the thermostat to the room there in and has the TRVs altered elsewhere in the house for cost purposes so the room there in is 23*C
Second fault different job heating working fine elsewhere in the house but kitchen rad stone cold - Dandfoss RAD - D valve
Action:- Remove control head and free off seized valve control pin with a few sharp taps with a small hammer.
If only everyday was as simple!

Yes it's getting to that time of year battle, my plumbing teacher at the college referred to it as the "plumbers harvest" time I had a call to a SF boiler that was banging last week. When I got there I found she had had the decorators in who had been scraping off the wall paper in the process must have accidently caught the time switch and knocked it onto the off position!! Plumbers can have an easy life (sometimes )!
