I would't have arranged that for Friday, I like an early dart on a Friday, My rule on sites were , never turn water on , on Fridays cos if things go wrong ( and they often do) you get stuck there all day,

Did it n no leaks..surprised myself.. followed golden rule of taking old un off slowly noting where the washers and rubbers were and making sure greased everything b4 banging it back in...60mins and £60 labour charge and the missus none the wiser...happydays

Yes well done Jimbob - the only thing what bothers me when working on Worcester range of boilers is the plastic becomes very brittle if the unit is worked hard (under sized for the install) from front covers to knobs they just break looking at them.

I'm not a fan of worcester either, better known in the trade as 'tupperware' boilers, they work well and are generally reliable, when i was gassafe and corgi I favoured Baxi/Potterton/Mains, I fitted hundreds of them and had little trouble, the parts are cheap and widley available and the boilers are a good bit cheaper to buy, but those days are gone now, its up to the young un's like jimbob to keep the country warm,

they are another designer rip off, twice or three times the price of a standard rad but only half the output, I put one of those mirror ones in, its looks ace but the room is freezing now, I can't complain really cos she wants a proper rad as well now to compensate,,,
