Hi all. Just looking at the other plumbers forum and there's a bit on there now about these bristan mixers? i don't know if you have seen them but I have never liked the look of them. I have a toilet roll holder held onto the wall with the same principle (grub screw) and had nothing but problems keeps coming loose and never tightens correctly. anyway the top half of the mixers are blowing off and bristan won't do a recall anyone fitted these?

I fit about four sets of bristan conversions every day working for a housing association and they are good quality but I don't think they have done much research on these as they take the same amount of time if not longer than a standard mono mixer it's just the next time you replace in four - five years will be easier what a load of boll@@ks there a plumber down south called Hamish who's had a few recalls he seems to know his stuff regarding force and angles of the grub screw they should be called ( easy change next time round if your lucky you don't flood your f@@kin kitchen)

These easy fit taps are wonderful a true marvel , it's just a shame the people fitting them are no way on my level and that's why they're having issues. Please leave it to the pro's amateurs and stick to unblocking toilets where you belong.
