Very tidy PB - I feel for a replacement you made it look easy as I tend to find the newer items are smaller and as a result shows discolouration or other tiling problems etc

What's the problem with dielectric adaptors PB I thought without those fitted the expansion vessel rots really quick?

I find the adapters poorly made battle. smiley-chores037 binsout What would be the disadvantage of using one of those 30 Ltr under sink heaters as a shower unit as the water temperature would be regulated better?

I find the adapters poorly made battle. smiley-chores037 binsout Same here, usually a badly molded bit of plastic that takes at least 3 attempts to seal...

There is no disadvantage really battle the under sink heater is really just a small unvented cylinder.

It would have to go into a thermostatic mixer, or a blender valve and I'm guessing it would be a good bit more expensive than an electric shower as you'd want to leave it on all day, they take about 45 minutes to reach temp. Depending on the length of the first shower you'd have to wait half an hour before anyone else could have a shower.

Customers has building work pending and system boiler would be out of action - under sink item would be temporary and removed and useful for another job for me but the shower (used) would be difficult to work into another future job as people like new out of the box showers. some interesting pointers though JC thank you

I get you mate, if it were me though I'd be putting one of those £48 electric showers in from screwfix or B and Poo, if they want a shower while the work's being done they'll pay for it It's easy to overthink jobs when you're trying to do best by the customer, most trades would be more black and white about it and take the easiest (profitable) route. I think I've only fitted 3 undercounter heaters in the last 10 years, you'd be keeping it on stock a while and the guarantee starts the day you buy it.
