Afternoon Gentlemen and Ladies (just in case the Mole woman has joined the forum yet - work on it Tom)
Slightly different but still valve incert question - on a towel rail radiator lock shield valve the chrome type, I've got a family job with one of those requiring the incert changing, its a similar style to Tom image with a clip on the spindle yet I can only find the gland nut type.
So here's my question are these interchangeable or is it best just fit the whole new chrome valve assembly complete?

i'd do option B and change the whole valve,I will be as quick because to change the insert you still need to drain down and if its wrong you're up a creek bowt a paddle, p.s I posted those pens today,

Ceramic disc taps are great when new , but when they start to drip ( which they will ) don't even think about trying to fix them , bin the tap and fit a new one.....

The only way I fix is if the customer knows make-model of tap & exact ones can be ordered & it's worth it price wise
I searched high & low before wasting my time for free.
No more.
