Never know anyone have any issues with stop cocks but I'm only a DIYer - do full time plumbers get many of these to replace.
Also I find it strange the new valve isn't a like for like replacement thus no connector would of been needed?

Thanks Tom. The coupler was added because the pipe was also damaged on the end entering the stopcock battle.

Yes cracking images PB visually very educational,since I've never seen the clamping tool - the other odd thing I never come across feed pipes in ducting it looks like yours are in ducting or was it just back digging to allow the pipework the necessary lift to do the repair?

Yes back digging for movement as it was a 32mm pipe so pretty rigid.

I did Tom and reinstated it too, it was an emergency job I did a couple of summers back after working all day anyway. My payment for a quick service was the rich twats took weeks and weeks to pay me. boxer
