Thanks for the replies Tom. Thing is the way this 1, 1/2 bowl sink waste plumbing goes together, the u bend has to fit straight off the threaded end on the horizontal connecting pipe (stupidly designed I now know) I bought a standard 40mm u bend, but realised it's looking for an upright end to fit to (with a threaded connection like the one in the photo) I had a look in B n Q to see if there was a 90 degree elbow thing with the threaded connector on one end and the female part on't other. Sadly it's rarer than rocking horse shite. I have however managed to bodge summat together that I think will work (Master of the bodge that's me) I'm back there tomorrow to finish off (gotta borrow a core bit off a mate to get through the wall) Will let you know how I get on tomorrow (hopefully with photos of the finished kitchen.

those double bowl sinks are a nusience for piping up, and nobody has ever figured out what the fuck to use the little bowl for, It must be one of the most useless bit of utilities ever,,,but still they are selling them ,,go figure,,,,

I've put em in kitchens before Tom but the waste plumbing has always had a vertical outlet. This is the first one I've come across where it has the horizontal outlet. The manufacturers just have not thought this through, as there's no bloody fitting for such an outlet. I checked the packet the fittings came in and followed the diagram correctly, so I know I've not missed anything out, or made it up differently. Just a fookin pain to be so close to finishing the kitchen. Grrrrrr

I* get plenty jobs like that too JJ, another thought I've just had, instead of joining the two bowls get 2 cheap 40mm bath traps, tht' will keep the waste high and tee them together using pushfit waste pipe system, It will work because i've done it before when the waste was too high to use a twin sink waste fitting, those traps are only £4 each a lenght of waste pipe £3 and a tee £1.5 a couple of elbows at £1 a pop,, you can cobble a rig up for a tenner,

I'm going to buy another u bend and a 40mm tee and dispense with that awful system under the sink.

Well, bought a telescopic u bend this morning (to go with the ordinary one I bought the other day) and a 40mm compression tee, when I was buying the core bit. Now all sorted. Bloody core bits ,,, took what seemed like ages to go through the rear panel of the sink base unit, yet went through the brickwork like a hot knife though butter. Piped everything up and checked for leaks,,,, None, Job's a good in. Meant to take a photo for you Thomas, but was in a hurry as we're going tenpin bowling tonight. Reckon I'll be back there during the week as they want a gate making for the rear garden, so will hopefully remember and take a few pics
