Had a customer on phone, flat under complaining of leak
3rd visit, fixed both hot & cold under bath
Just been again, all pipes & fittings are dry. Checked bath seal & grout, all seems ok.
Pipes go under concrete floor, mmmm. I've now told them it's the floor up if I go again.
Any thoughts?
Thx, Rct

I would't rip the floor up, I'd fugure a way of re piping and leave the old stuff in the concrete, qwerty

Yep, can surface fix.
I've told her & she's 'having a think'
I said well it's leaking from somewhere we can't see so I'll leave it with you!
Cheers all

When a shower over bath is fitted we get one hell of a lot of calls for leaks through ceilings that are in fact just leaking bath seals and even spillage over the bath side onto the floor then through the ceiling (some people simply don't take any care where the waters going when they shower).
Just a thought...

Cheers I checked the grout & silicone & they see ok I asked the son if water is being spilled & obviously he denied it The customer is never aware that this is happening and I've had quite a few arguments with them because they are convinced that it is a plumbing problem that is causing the water to appear under the bath. On quite a few occasions I've also had water running back along the bath tap spout then along the bath and onto the floor, this also goes unnoticed by the customer.
