the only suggestion I can offer is wrap some more on, they have a plastic body so unless its cracked, tape should seal it,

I've seen the valve body replaced with a 1/4 valve but if the housing is damaged its cheaper to buy a whole assembly which sell for around £45.

naw, ptfe is the thing to use, some of the other stuff will harm it or make it hard to get out in the future, ptfe is king, just make sure you wrap it clockwise and put plenty on,

hi. i have fit a trappex magnetic filter on my central heating system but the bit a the bottom the drain off thingamaging whch pours dirty water out is leaking.u i sed ptfe tape on it but still leaking. any ideas I think that it is leaking from the top nut and running down the back unnoticed. I would undo the top nut and check that the seal is in place give it a clean up and carefully tighten it back up. I've done plenty of these leaks; at first I was fooled into thinking it was weeping from the bottom as well.
