hi.my question is do inhibitors work OR are they a gimmick? do cleaners work?

cleaners are a load o shit, inhibitors are questionable, My opinon is they are a money maker, I used inibitor when i did boilers simply because it states in the MI's to do so, If ya don't the warrantte is invalid,  |

If your talking about in the open vented system from day one and kept up to strength then I find it does.
if your dosing after the system has problems with contamination I find flushing quicker then doing various inhibitors/descaling products and various revisits are per the manufactures guidelines.
On sealed system I've never had a dirty one compared to open vented systems and the sealed systems with agents in are very clean.

Ive used boiler silencer in mine when it was making lot of noise and did what it says on bottle,so i was happy with that.ive always used inhibitor in my o/v system but water still black so not sure on it.

back in the day, we used washing up liquid to silence a noisey boiler and that works too, and at a good deal less price, 60p a bottle and you only use a squirt and the wife gets the rest,  |
