It removes the small beveled edge off the end giving you more purchase on the vent, especially if they are covered in paint.

Anyone know of good bleed key for the bleed vents that are smaller than the standard ones there usually at rear of rad😊

Are the bleed vents sometimes smaller on older rads?or are they rounded off?like them rear bleed keys tom☺

they are all the same, like you say endfeed they get rounded off and if they have a coat of paint on as well it doest help, Like Dick says, file the chamfer off and twat them on with a hammer so they get a good hold of the head,

Was it on here or on another inferior forum that someone suggested soldering a key onto a rounded air valve? Another daft tip; drop the full radiator to floor & crack the valve union nuts to get rid of the air. |

what I've done before is twat the bleed key out of shape, ( oval shape) the end, then twat that on the nipple and if that don't work, drill the nipple out and use a self tapper with ptfe on to seal the hole,
