hi.boiler pressure keeps dropping getting low on combi boiler. I have been around the house checked all rad valves and visible pipes, no leaks that i can see. any idea what it could be? any way to find out what it is?

have you checked the blow off ? tie a plastic bag round it, if there's water in it when the pressure has gone, thats where its going,

Hi aj,could be the expansion vessel.you can test by pressing the shrader valve(looks like a bike valve) if you get water when pressing it that will be faulty and need replacing.can also be leaks on pipe work under ground or suspended floor.

the blowoff is the pipe that goes out side, usually a 15mm copper pipe, its the safety valve,

I've had a bit of a daft crusade to not replace expansion vessels. Where they're easy to remove I strip the fuckers out & put a new schrader valve in them, pump them up to the correct pressure & put leak detection fluid on the valve & on the connection, check for bubbles.
You can buy guts for Schrader valves in Halfords.
Ive been amazed how few expansion vessels that are actually fucked!!
