So in an F&E tank it's ok to bung feed & vent?
I was told never to bung vent.
Any advice appreciated
Thx

you HAVE to bung the vent when using the bung method or the airlock won't work, It is important to remove the bung and open the vent when finished, It would't be safe to run the system with the vent blocked,

Thanks for your reply.
So can I ask, if for example you have a seized gate valve on the hot feed, could you bung the Cwsc outlet to hwsc to create the airlock?

yes but the wieght of water behind that might prove a problem if you're not used to it, I would drain the tank in that situation,

I had a scare with a nasty airlock about 3yrs ago, it shot my confidence tbh. I'm Gradually getting it back.
