Had a to fix a really awkward pipe repair today then I thought of this forum and the slip coupler trick.
It took a bit of filing down mind you but it made the job a lot easier at the installation stage .
Having a lot of success with the Clarts cone removal trick too.

yea that cone removing trick is spot on, It works better on bigger pipes because they're not dogged on like a few 15mm ones can be,

Having a lot of success with the Clarts cone removal trick too. nice to hear my little tip worked out for you mate😊ive filed a few on standby in van👍im waiting for solder not to take so i can use your top tip!!!! It won't combat a lot of water, it's only when it's on the very verge of the solder running but it's not having it that it will work. More than likely in this case one side of the fitting will have already run but the other side is not having it! It's to be seen as a last try before you have to start and dismantle the pipe work (but well worth a try). Turn the blow lamp up full and go about 18"upstream of the direction of were the water is coming from and concentrate the blowlamp on a 12" area of pipe work, move the flame up and down after a couple of minutes go back to the fitting as fast as you can, if your lucks in the solder will now run (quickly though you've only bought a couple of seconds)!!! Hope I've explained it better this time tom? I'm now wondering how I could do a tappys tip for us (I'll have to have a think) Tappy.
