Hi guys, got to go and look at a job tomorrow, measure up and stuff,to change lead pipe for plastic for a school,been told quite a long length.i think work will want me to get the pipe before i cut it,what size would be best to go for.will have pics and more info tommorow,just wondering if you have a of thumb??its under craw space apparantely😮

The last job I used hydraulic clamps for fixing it as I found the ones supplied to be of piss poor quality for holding the pipe in place and that wasn't in a confined space. I would also take a selection of lead to MDPE fittings unless your using one of those which you cut into the main which has a built in 1/4 turn isolator valve. |

Not seen the job yet but i think they want the lot ripping out.show me the money!!!!!take some pics tomorrow,it crazy to think im gona be in a tight craw space fucking about with pipe and im looking forward to it weird shit😀

the big blue fittings don't need much tightening, the big nuts you talk of are only to hold the pipe in place, the fitting now are essentially pushfit and the big nuts are the gripper ring, they're piss easy to use,  |
