Can you advise on this please?
A toilet seat that wobbles side to side.
It's tight as tight can be but slides side to side
I've tried twisting the top fitting parts but still wobbles
Any thoughts?
The old chap wants it fixed but I'm at a loss with this one.
Thx

toilet seats work loose, even if you strangle the nuts, its the hinges and basic construction, no matter what you pay, you'll always get problems, downloadlove

Modern seat come loose The brackets allow the seat to move side to side It's nearly always that upside down screw in the hinge fixing that's worked loose Due to the main bolt rusting it as usually become inaccessible by the time it's worked loose. My firm currently supply an all in one seat with very little to go wrong which I just can't remember the name of right now. I'll take note of it when I'm back at work on Monday and post you the name (it's a white seat). Tappy,

They are called Aspire and made by tavistock www.tavistock-bathrooms.co.uk/prod/aspire/aspire-toilet-seatI must say that I'm quite shocked by the price of them though ! They are moulded all in one and are the best seats I've fitted! I always set them on their furthest forward setting and you can really tighten them down. They don't use that flawed upturned screw fixing method on the hinge either. Maybe if you shop around you can get that price down. Tappy,

I don't buy them myself, they are bought by my firms purchasing department who tend to buy basic items of a trade quality.
I was thinking around the £20.00 mark for those seats.
Maybe they simply got a special deal on them.

I would think that is the case tappy,
Tappy's firm QS, " hey , how much for your seats if I order 200 ?? ", " hello Mr QS.you can have them at £20 each,",,," deal"
