1787034013 yippee Looking forward to that since I've been considering modifying an open vented system to unvented - sick of the crap you get in the F&E tank.
So PB Is that unvented with a system boiler not a comination boiler with an external expansion vessel with filling loop- if so how do you decide what size expansion vessel and what do you set the system pressure at and at what water temperature?

Evening PB - another interesting install for you there and your images help me to learn - no Yorkshire fittings and thread tape for you!
My OCD would of meant white tie-wraps but that's just lets you see I'm looking to learn.
I assume the heating is purely electric and done by the two elements?
I hope those elements are easier to get out of the cylinder than those IMI tanks as I've got a piss poor success rate getting those out.
So If I'm understanding the job that's stored mains hot water in large capacity on demand ?

Hi Battle. Yes that cylinder is 250 litres of water under mains pressure, great hot water systems with a balanced cold feed to suit.

The mains coming in goes through a combination valve which has a PRV incorporated in it and past that is a port that you can take the cold supply from giving you the equal pressures.

Thank you for the advice PB - if you've got the install schematic drawing could you post that up please so I can work it against the images.

Morning PB- I enjoyed both of those videos and will explore their site a bit more.
The exploding cylinder was as destructive as any gas leak explosion I've seen on TV. With that type of destructive energy they'll have to check on plumbers for terrorist sympathy haha.
