It looks a complete mystery to me.
I've worked on 2 with other plumbers but to just change the prv (?) from incoming main.
The hot water to bath would run the stop. It was said the vessel was emptying faster than the cold was filling. ??
Is that right?

no its not right, the cold should fill faster in situations where the hot is emtying the tank faster than its going in you either need more water going in or a bigger tank , ssssss

No PB, the hot runs & then trickles to nothing.

OK I'm with you. What's happening is its running the hot water out that is under expansion and then that exhausts its self pretty quick and runs to nothing, that points to the PRV and inline filter at fault stopping or reducing flow right down.

Yes. I think so. I think they can be cleaned but maybe need replacing.
Thx for explaining.

Yes. I think so. I think they can be cleaned but maybe need replacing. Thx for explaining. All modern combination valves are a whole unit and you would replace it back with a whole new unit.

Nice install. Just a couple of points shouldn't the pipework to the expansion vessel be no less than the connection sizes provided ie 22mm or above also prv teed in after the tundish should be before?
