the slip coupler is idea, failing that you could divert the pipe off the top of the stop cock to go left or right and use elbows to make a loop back in a few inches up,

Rockey are you saying you've already tried slacking off the nuts on both sides of the valve and you can't get the valve out cause I don't understand how you would know if you had movement unless you'd tried what I've said already?

This was a customer ring me. He tried it himself & said he undid the nuts but there's no play in the pipes whatsoever.
This was yesterday eve.
I can't go & look until Tues.
Just wanted some idea of how it can be done. I think Toms idea of diverting pipe my work.

Thx all I'd divert it too, when I do work I always base it on I'll be the one working on it again so I like to make things easier. If I don't ever go back some other plumber will see my efforts appreciate them and say PB's worked here.  |

Cut pipework above stopcock and use a slip coupler for me. (six of one and half a dozen of the other) everyone has their own way of working r_YU1yvrdxzyzo1stXVb diy
