I'd go for double that enfeed, at least 8000 BTU's, the problem with that is you'll be struggling to find a verticle rad that will do it, verticle rads don't give much bang for the buck, poofix's kudos type 22 rad 700 x 1100 will come close for about £89,

Hi tom, its another job for me bro got to keep him sweet because he s a car mechanic!!!anyrode he s seen the prices of the vertical designer rads and changed his mind, dont no laughing-dog-smiley-emoticon why!!!so he s gona go for a normal one, ill get that one from poofix, the one that came off is 600x600 single rad and my bro said he didnt notice it to be cold? I think it should be bigger as it need to heat stair and top landing,as well as bottom! It got a wall stat near it and I was wondering if they would have put smaller rad on because a bigger one might shut the wall stat down to quickly? smiley-confused002asak2 any thoughts???

yea move the wall stat, like you say its gonna knock it off if its too near, The hall is a common place to put the room stat because it has more air changes than anywhere else, but it needs to be as far away from the rad as possible, If your bro did't notice the cold ,go for the same rad, don't fix it if it aint broke,

Great advice as always mr plum it great to have the support....love the gas tip vid big thumbs up to mr plum & mr puller ..... Endfeed you could always contemplate a wireless thermostat which would allow fitting in a more suitable location within the hall and fit the bigger rad you feel would be an improvement for him? Yes the Gas video was an eye opener but I feel Tom sold himselfself short by not showing his mix and how he mixed it. For me it guarantees the user knows he's got that bit nailed, cause if the mix is wrong you'll end up with the same issue as the branded product - boom!

I find the customers especially the elderly find them really easy to use, unlike some.
