Had a little flood today chaps
Drained down a ch system, took rads off all ok.
Cut & capped couple other pipes all ok.
Then they ask me to get rid of the floor mounted oil boiler. Saw the oil pipe was capped in the garage but told them I don't really do that. Anyway, they pressed me so I told them I'd cut the pipes but I'd need them there in case of issues. Cut first 2 22mm pipes on one side, bit of water but ok. The other side were bigger pipes, maybe 35mm(?), cut first one, all dry, next one starts spraying then it snapped at the floor connection, water gushing out, put my hand over it, builder runs away! I shout to get a bucket & he comes back with a dustpan!!!!
Couldn't stop laughing. Just water in the pipe i think as it's a 3 storey house. Cut small oil pipe (?) & they drag it out. Very heavy indeed.
Good few hours, decent pay & fuel.
They want me to pipe up for shower room & kitchen but combi not going in for 2 weeks. Do I do it soon or wait until after boiler is in? I need to put in washing machine feed so that ok. It also dishwasher feed. I take it this is cold feed like washing machine? Need to do waste pipes too into main stack. I plan on using a mechanical boss.
Cheers all. Hope alls well.

Well done rocky. dishwashers are cold feed mate. Get yourself a cheap wet vac rocky and when cutting pipes with standing water in them you can suck it up as it comes out.
