I've had a new shower fitted just a couple of months ago, The installer has been back to it a dozen times but now won't answer his phone, It only worked proper for a week then It went wrong, The plumber fitted a pump which is very noisy,he came back and adjusted things but its still noisy, He then fitted a flange on the hot water barrell, then he added some air immitance taps in the attic, Now the shower will not work, no water at all, can someone please tell me what I should do,
thanx,

Hi Tessa
I assume that as you have a pump fitted that your hot water is tank-fed. The pumps usually start working when they sense a flow so if there's nothing coming out of your showerhead the pump won't kick in. If you have a showerhead on a hose try taking it out of the holder and lowering it down - then starting the shower.
How high is the header tank compared with the shower? If it's not much higher you may need a negative head pump.
Some pictures would be helpful...

Thank you Dcox and Tom its very sweet of you to help but I don't know how to put plcs on here yet.I'm a dumb blonde don't you know. I was thinking more of advice of how to get the plumber back to sort it. Is there someone I can contact to force him to sort it

I've just had this also at a house
We needed to replace the hot feed to the shower as it was blocked
My first test would be to take the shower off of the wall & look inside the hot & cold connections on the shower, you'll see a washer on each side & they probably have a filter. These may be blocked with crap from the tank. I'd rip them out first off. But while the showers off I'd turn the hot water back on & see if it flows out of the hot side. If it does then it's the shower, if it doesn't then it's the pump or pressure or feed.
Let us know

He's obviously done a runner as he's out of ideas & losing money keep returning Where are you based Tessa?

yes that's good advice from rocky, that way you're eliminating the shower,if there's no water in the pipes it might be an air lock, bad pipework, pump problem,or even a blockage,, Cheshire's not too far from me I could come and spend a day there working out the problem for you,
