Hi all got a prob with footprint pliers after watching Tom plum video on footies saying they gripped with one action onto nut I purchased a pair at cost of £15 when I put them on first hole this is too small for fifteen mm nut then tried on secound as Tom suggested they fall off nut all the time these are genuine foot prints from sheffeild and they do not work as described

have you got a link from where you bought them,, right click the link and choose 'copy' come back here right click again and choose paste, then we can see what you've bought ..

best place to get footies is from car boots on a sunday morning, you can get them for 50p a pop,

They were the #1 plumbing tool for the generation that trained me; nowadays grips have taken over, in my opinion.
I have a pair of large footies which came into their own when I was doing a lot of solid fuel boilers in the mid 80s; nowadays I never fit any SF boilers, but the footies are still kept in my toolbox, just in case.

Hi Tom I have contacted Rambo tools they said they have been selling foot prints for twenty years with no issues I have sent them back asking for a refund see what happens

Footprint did once make a type just like that tom.
I don't think they are fakes it's just a different type of design of footies that never caught on.
