so i said its a heat bank ( sludge bucket) and explained how it works,,,the guy then says, that there is no boiler, I thought " no boiler" oh,,,  ? but on further questions he found this, Attachment Deleted |

they were a 1980's invention, you got hot water at cold mains pressure, the boiler heats the cylinder with boiling water, then the cold mains water runs though a coil inside and distrubutes water at mains pressure at a high temp, but then the unvented cylinders came in and made these things a thing of the past, but there are still many in existance,

I think you did a vid on them some time back ill have a look and jem up on em I think it just reverse of standard set up. Is that a .t.m.v going into cylinder? Silver ball looks like a shock arrester?

Ha Ha,,, walter used to wind people up on shitfix, he'd say the unvented cylinder is an unexploded bomb in the house, a disaster waiting to happen, then he used to put a video on of one exploding, He would then go on to promote sludge buckets,,,then the men in white coats would come and put him back in his home for loonies,,,, smiley-whacky057 jackbox

Ahh dear old Walter. Last year he was on Screwfix, still extolling the virtues of intergas combi's Apparently only 4 moving parts needed to supply all yer hot water (and one of them's his fookin mouth)
