So I've been told it's bad practice to use compression under floors or in walls in case they leak
Use end feed & solder the buggers
Any views?
Thx

That's true mate, compression are the most likely to weep but sometimes you just make do with what you have if pipes under floors have water in them you have no options.

many thousands are under floors and in walls, So are pushfit, there's a gas reg somewhere that says compression can only be fitted on gas where its accessible, there's no restriction on water regs where to use compression, If its not leaking when you fit it, why should it leak later, they do I know but so do soldered fittings too, Its up to the person fitting them,

I generally dislike comp fittings to join pipe together and if i have to use them i will always chuck away those brass olives and use copper ones , all the ones that i have seen weeping are usually fitted with brass olives....!

ALL modern shower valves, bath taps, toilet fitting are tighten up types today and they're buried behind tiles and under floors, I don't like them but they're selling well, I always warn of future maintenance but, people live for whats here now, So why worry, if it leaks after the in guarantee time, you're gonna make money again,
