It was a thermostatic valve then that wouldn't be able to adjust itself if the hot and cold were reversed. Was it easy to correct? |

yes it was installed with plastic pipes going over the attic area, switch and go,,,a cuppa and a biscuit and back up the motorway, i was hopeing for a roll in the hay in the barn, but Daddy was there, tessa was't,  |

Tom how did you know the pipework was incorrect, cause the last one I had like that, required me to gain access to the mixer valve to see the legend notation as the customer had no model documentation?

just felt at the ends of the shower valve, cold should come in on the right ( on all showers) but it was hot on the right side, so I instantly knew it was piped up wrong, Another give away on a bar type is, the heat control should be on the cold side ( right) , Also if there's a hose to the spray and its coming off the top, Its probably wrong, but not always as some showers do have a top outlet, You'd expect to see a fixed pipe on those, not a hose, but sometimes they do fix hoses,
