Never fitted one Fitting one tomorrow on cold main apparently Anything to watch out for? Cheers all These are very straight forward as mentioned. You will have an inlet and outlet valve set for the softener with a bypass between the two, this is so the softener can be bypassed in the event of a fault. The cabinet/housing will have an overflow pipe which will need to exit the property and the softener will have a drain discharge pipe for when it regenerates, this is generally tee'd into the sink waste or run to the nearest out side drain.
