Went to a job today ..the guy screwed through a water pipe 3/4", so cut out bad section used a piece 0f 22mm pipe replace section used 2-off 22mm comp joints using 2-off 22mm olives & 2-off 3/4" olives done up using PTFE ,,, system is Combi boiler re-pressurized system all look good cleared up all tools just checked again very slight weep on one joint 3/4" side tried to nip up no luck got to go back and try again tomorrow is there anything else I can try ( Method ) you guy's use

I never use ptfe on compression fittings, the cone cannot bite the pipe, just use some paste,

As Tom said,,,tru blue is a good sealant and I too wouldn't use PTFE on olives.

I use paste now, I used to use nothing but my mate uses jet blue & no I follow

Hi Guy's what is this tru blue or jet blue paste is that the proper name and where can i pick some up please thank you..........
