My bags are backed and I'm ready to go. Four of us selected plumbers are meeting up at the yard one hour early in order to get to the training centre for 8.00am. The gaffer says it will be my last one because of my age and my retirement. I'm not so sure because it is the "EUROPEAN Registration Scheme" and it's Brexit in 2 years time! Tappy, PS I'm taking a tomplum pen with me for luck!

Ha Ha then pen should get you through tappy, You'll piss it, Not only that I took my packet of Uncle Joes with me in order to soften up the assessor ! What I thought would be a long day actually went very quickly. The assessor has had a problem with his own system at home which was heating the hot water to 75 degrees. The thermostat is working properly and shutting off at the set 60 degrees. What's the problem? 8 plumbers present and no-one knew the answer! This was not part of the exam, just a bit of plumbers course banter (it's not a trick question). I'll post up the answer tomorrow (I'm all plumbed out today) plus a few more interesting things. The assessor was a nice bloke telling us all what we all ready know "British Gas are cunts" Tappy,

I'd guess the stat was too low on the cylinder so when the bottom of the cylinder reached 60 the top was over running to 75,

Is the thermostat not set against the cylinder? I.e. No contact with the cylinder.

So the question of the night is how high up should the stat be?
On my mums is half way up or half way down
