1. Category 1 (water is water that arrives directly at the cold tap) is now referred to as "wholesome water". Water at the hot tap supplied directly from the mains (i.e. combi boiler) is still C1 and referred to as "heated wholesome water". 2. The maximum run of pipework to an hot tap from it's source is 15 meters (my own system is just about in, phew. ). 3. A hot water unvented system with a storage vessel with a capacity of 15 litres or less now must have a pressure vessel and relief (Previously under 15L it wasn't required).. "Drip taps" have now become extinct! Apparently this requirement is so new that it's not part of the building regulations (yet)! That's about sums up my learning from the course and all that I found that was interesting in it! Tappy,

Another sign that your getting old is when your qualifications start to become outdated and feel extinct. Our predecessors never had this lot of courses and certificates foisted upon them did they? If I was SE I simply wouldn't have bothered. Isn't the GCSE qualifications becoming extinct in the next couple of years? It's going to happen very quickly and at a very young age to the recent generations of school levers.
