My gas man mate showed me a tip
You know when you're soldering & the fitting pipe keeps moving
Well, he nips the fitting up with grips & all good as it holds it in place

With those slack moving fittings I find that putting the flame on the pipe first and not on the fitting also stops it moving. The heat expands the pipe more than the fitting, hence it don't move.
