Screws & plugs

I use mostly brown but red come in handy from time to time,

screws 2"x 10's,,2"x8's 1 1/2x10's and 1 1/2x 8's mostly and a few 3"x10's but it depends on the wall you are fixing to

Goldscrews are brill.  Got a couple of dozen longer screws too but rarely use them.
It's good for allsorts and you can see when you're getting low on one size and just restock that one.  Properly handy for building a frame for a bath or a base for a shower.  Good for bath panels and the likes too.
Pain in the arse when you're putting your tools away and hoist the bugger up without checking if it was properly closed, 3 times I've done it so far.

The Uno is good for most jobs, awesome on a tiled wall and will do light-weight jobs on plasterboard too.
Also got some bigger browns for exterior fixings or bigger screws.

I used to like pigs dicks for plasterboard, but seen too many rads hanging off walls where the pigs dicks have just pulled a chunk of plasterboard off with them.

Rads tend to come with their own screws/plugs so I just use those, unless it's going on plasterboard, then I'll use a combination of spring toggles at the top and whatever I have to hand in the other holes.  I'll try to put 3 fixings in each rad bracket on plasterboard.

All screws have to be pozi too, if I see a slotted screw it goes in the bin, whoever invented them needs stringing up...

I used a Yankee Screwdriver for slotted screws Tom.  Great if you had bad wankers cramp!!
