Tryed turning lock shield down but rad is still making gushing sound...system is on iron pipe and feed from a small boiler house...and its on a one pipe system, didnt know it this was a existing problem or not.any thoughts on this gushing noise chaps.... smiley-talk002 3 amigos

my first thoughts is, air in rad, Is top entry bottom exit ? the incoming water might be entering a air void and causing the noise, just a thought,

Ive opened bleed vents, no air coming out, trv is top entry Its just water cavitation endfeed and when you throttle down the trv you are restricting the speed the pump can throw it,,,quite common on a one pipe system mate,,reducing the pump speed may help.
