used that cheap pump today on an old system, what a twat, the pump valves shut ok but the pump unions were stuck tight, I tried every which way to undo them, heat, shock with lump hammer and chisel, fuckin' big stillies, I ended up snatching new valves on,, A 1 hour job turned into half a day, the cheap pump worked like a charm when i finally got it on, Attachment DeletedAttachment Deleted

forgot to mention, you also get a couple of 1 1/2 x 1 inch reducing unions ( which you might never use) but hey, they're in the van if you need them, and a 13 amp plug wired with 2 feet of wire to the pump,

These new ERP pumps have a tinny impeller - smaller than a jam jar lid. You can easily stop the impeller with your hand, they're designed to slow down & stop when there's limited circulation - like when all the TRVs close down. Fucking useless at shifting air in a system!! Set the fuckers to 'fixed head' speed at every opportunity. In fact don't fit them, Brussels can stick their EU directives & ERP right up their arse!!
