Right, simple question
Can you apply new grout on top of old?
No digging old out, just spread on top
Reason - hairline cracks allowing water through the ceiling!!!
Customer doesn't want it dug out!

Not really the way to do it Rocket. It might work as a stop gap measure, but the water's gonna get back through. If it's in a shower or on the wall next to the bath, I'd look at the silicon sealant around the shower base or the bath first.

Silicone is all 100.%
I've told them it's not the best way to do it

No leaks from under waste or pipes. Tray all good. Not leaking through cubicle frame.

I agree with JJ, the idea if grout is to get into the gaps and fill them out, if its just smeared on top, it will crack, regrouting is an arse of a job, not one I untertake, Its hard fiddly and if it leaks when done, you get heartachea, smiley-sad056 nay
