I missed it too . They don't normally work when their fitted that way, but I guess this one did! Unlucky Rock, because if it hadn't worked you'd have soon been onto it.

Ahem Rocky, but haven't you fitted that stopcock upside down. I was thinking the same, schoolboy error, easily done. I've fitted my fair share of ISO's and NRV's the wrong way round in my time

I fitted a gas meter the wrong way,,
We were refubing council houses, the gas meter was under the kithen units and it was my job to take out the meter, when the joiner had finished the kitchen fit I had to go in and fit the sink, washer, cooker and refit the meter, As it was usuually 3.30 pm by the time the joiner was finished, it was rush.rush .rush, In this case the meter was a pre pay and because it had beed shifted the 'tamper' re set had to be done by the gas board, It was the tennants job to phone the gas supplier and have it reset, Course by the time the gas man came I'd fucked off, I was nobodies friend the day after when the site manager met me the morning after, So I had to turn it round, the tennant asked could I leave it that way, I said yea but the gasman won't reset it, She said I'll get him to reset it if I do him a favour, winking her eye, I thought " no chance, big fat slag with tatoo's all over her and six kids, " and she never offered me a favour,,, smiley-finger005

Talking of schoolboy errors, I went to an outside tap today at about 5pm so was rushing. Measured up and drilled in from the outside. Accrington brick so not the easiest. After drilling I went inside to make sure I'd come through where I wanted and spotted the gas pipe I'd twatted with the drill. Leak detection fluid showed no leaks but I can't leave it like that, going back with a gas man I know to sort it out next week, I'll be paying the gas man....Not a good end to the day.
