Just bought a new towel rail heater duel fuel the tee pieces that come with it to adapt the valves which go into the base of the rail have o rings on one of the threads that goes into said base my question is tee piece locks early by hand in correct position but will obviously need tightening by spanner, with it having a o ring and won't need Ptfe will it nip a full turn or could it crack the rail if so what's your expert advice

If it's got a rubber o ring it's usually hand tight.
Any pics?

Hope these help rocket man they are now hand tight but will need more for positioning and a correct seal I reckon it looks about 3/4 of a turn needed for positioning thanks for reply

The inlets and outlets are all from the base of the rail/rad with feed and return coming from under the floorboards

ok willo it will work like that but use ptfe on the threads, the rubber will seal the blank plate, but I'd use ptfe as well, there's nothing worse than a drip when its all working and you need to strip it down to add ptfe,

With Loctite 55 you can do up your threaded joint & 'back it off a bit' to aline the fitting;

Hi Dick, are you on commission with loctite,,, joking apart, loctite does allow for lining up where ptfe might leak if it is backed off,,
