hi.sisters worcester bosch boiler is now ignoring the programmer and both the water and CH thermostats and therefore runs permanently. It can only be switched off via the main switch. any ideas?

On my wb boiler the radio stat is in the living room & boiler with receiver kitchen
I think the stat & receiver need to be in different rooms, im sure that's what I was told
Can you hear the stat ticking like a clock? Does the clock on it work? Is the receiver on the boiler flashing green?

aj most RF room thermostats work simply by a small relay in the receiver unit making & breaking when it receives a signal from the transmitter(Roomthermostat). To confirm it's it's the RF room thermostat that's on the blink remove the the switching wires from your boiler terminal block. I'll have a look on-line for the wiring details when I've finished dressing up in Olive's clothes, she's away to the Bingo. OK, it looks like the receiver unit just plugs in, so perhaps unplug the it & that'll confirm the fault; www.worcester-bosch.co.uk/support/literature/download/8716115752

The gas service/repairs division lads where I work absolutely hate these WIFI devices and that was the main reason that I went with a hard wired fitted simple on/off room stat when I fitted my combi' boiler last year. I don't know if this is any help but when you change the batteries on a remote do it in the same room as the receiver is in. You have to switch off an air source/ ground source boiler before you change the batteries in the room stat then switch it back on because if the boiler doesn't detect a signal from the room stat when it is switched on it will go into lock out, maybe it's the same for a WB boiler? WIFI controls/remotes/signals ....... Tappy,
