fixed a broken syphon in a scruffy house, I did't linger in there because of the health risk, anyrode yesterday he rang,,toilet now leaking, It was't when I left it but I went back anyway to check,Its now pissing out when you flush at the cone under the cistern top of the flush pipe, He said " I know it was't like that when you left" So I fettled it with ptfe tape, tested, retested, he's happy its not leaking and off I go,
guess what, this morning he's on the blowwer again, its pissing out again,
So I'm off now to have another look, report back later, the time now is 9.15 am,

I had a close couple toilet leak, change donut washer, put back together & tested several times, all happy
Next day it's leaking, went back, fixed & tested all ok
Same again
It turned out the tenants who were large people were breaking the seal when the sat down & leant against the cistern, unbelievable

13.13 pm just back in, done some running about and called to the offending toilet, It was't pissing out but a drip on every flush, So I give it another coating of ptfe, tested, retested and asked cust if he's happy, he said he was, so came out and wiped my feet before treading on the street again, if he phones again he can fuck off, Attachment Deleted

A plumber whom I used to work with would wrap PTFE round the flush pipe, keeping it tight all the time, round and round it would go then he transferred it onto the syphon thread itself keeping it tight round and round he went with it again until half a roll of PTFE had been used up! The syphon nut was then just a formality because you could flush the toilet and it wouldn't leak even without the nut being on Tappy,!
