Did a job Saturday to replace fill & flush and 2 pairs of basin taps, gets to the job and attacked the toilet first it was close coupled and had to saw through the bolts....once I got through them I then found the prick that installed it had used about three tubes of silicunt to fix it to the wall and pan. Moves on to the taps and both basins had silicunt covered all over the tap connectors, by this time I'd lost the will to live. I THINK PRO STEVE HAD BEEN THE ORIGINAL INSTALLER, WHAT A SILI-CUNT!!!

all in a days work PB, I keep an old guitar string in the van for silicunted toilets to the wall, Nice one Tom The basin taps I had some WD40 in the van and sprayed the silicunt with that. If pro Steve had walked in I'd sprayed that silicunt with it too and maybe struck a match. laughing-dog-smiley-emoticon

If the people who do it had to remove it, then they wouldn't be so keen to put it on in the first place! I had a run on C/Coupled toilet repairs on a street a couple of years ago and everyone that I did had a big squirt of silicone attaching the cistern to the wall - no screws - just a big blob of silicon ! One of those throw away wood saws was the weapon of choice I used to release the cistern from the wall. Tappy,
