When I arrived back at work on Monday we had an H&S issue one of the lads had had an accident using one of these new fangled telescopic ladders.
Personally I don't like them (along with triple extenders).
I prefer a tall pair of steps any day.
I can see the advantages of them though
I was wondering what other forum members think to them?

I also don't like them, Often called 'surveyors ladders' because of their lightness and fold ability they are handy for suited people to carry and access lofts for inspection, I don't trust them, neither the ladder nor the suited inspectors that carry them

I don't like them either although they save space in a small van.

I use them at work. Not supposed too, but I think they are brilliant.

I guess its just us old 'set in our way' boys, We've seen a lot of changes in the trade, We must be getting to the 'change overload' point. Somethings just don't look right, but if you yung un's like um, go with it,,,

I'm not keen either. Mate of mine has them, got them off a shopping channel if I remember rightly, he also has one of those multi ladder things that you can have as an A frame or a platform type, don't like them buggers either. Just don't feel sturdy to me. Normal ladders have worked well for decades, it's not broke, don't fix it.

I asked at the store today about returns on this type of ladder and their reply was "constantly when people do drilling work and the dust gets into the release catch mechanism."
