fitted the last of those radiators today, one under the window and one on the opposite wall, A 500 x 1400 under the window and a 600 x 1400 on the on the opp wall, The woman was out at work, the one under the window could only go low to the floor because of the height restiction, the one on the opp wall I put at 8 inch off the floor, Thats where i always put them, Anyrode I finished tested, packed up and left, at 5.30 she got home and straight on the phone, That rads too high, i want it low like the other,, " how you gonna hoover under it " I said, " don't care i want it lowering " " OK but I'll charge you",,she said " I'm not paying till you do it as i want it", don't you just love plumbing,,,,

Has she got a bloke you can reason with Tom? Or may it be a case of doing it but never working for her again? Fucking attitudes on some people never ceases to amaze me.

Radiator heights have always been a bone of contention. The first firm that I ever worked for would say fix them 1/2" above the top of the skirting so the top of the skirting can still be cleaned/wiped. I remember having to lower some though for a customer when we encountered 6" high bullnose skirting boards.
Later when on contract work for a council and we just fitted them so we could comfortably get a machine bend under them on the drops, no one gave a fuck about the height of radiators on that contract!
