I can't get on the spark bit An old lady in a very dated house has a tank with immersion but her carers have to turn the spur on & off. No timer. The son, who doesn't visit much said can I fix it. I said for a timer. Now I'm in neck deep! I'm sure it's easy. Any thoughts please? Thx, Rct

The grey wire? So it will go wire down from ceiling, timer, switch & cable to immersion?

yea don't touch the grey flat wire, with the spur turned off you can work safley on the white flex cord,

So basically the power cable & immersion cable both go into this? For £34 it's not expensive either. Sold!!

yes its just the job, the only thing might be, if she's old she might not like digital, the oldies like me prefer a BIG faced clock type of timer, She'll be for ever calling you up to set it and reset it,

This old lady turned 97 in August & she's mostly blind so no problems.
She's all alone really. I try to help her. I do her shopping every other Sunday too.

As tom say's put the timer after the spur use 1.5 mm2 cable minimum to make the connection between the spur and the timer and make sure the connections are tight.
