At plum towers we've had this stink coming from round the fridge, It smells like a drain stench but there's no drain there, I pulled out the fridge expecting a dead mouse or rat but no, so I pulled out 3 adjoining cupboards and drawer sets, nothing there, So we gave everything a good cleaning while it was all exposed and put it back, We took everything out of the fridge and gave that a good clean, It did't smell of anything inside the fridge, it was out side, So I googled, bad smell coming from fridge in kitchen, and the answer was there, there's a plastic drain tray under the fridge, I'd missed it was a tray, I saw it but thought nothing, anyrode the condensation from out of the fridge drains in the tray and in theory is supposed to evaporate, in reality it lodges and gundges up and stinks to high heaven, So if ever you come across this, you'll know where to look now, qwerty

naw, the maggotts go in the beer fridge in the tavern, best move i ever made, before i put the maggots in there mrs plum used it as an overflow fridge, She'd put cheese, eggs and stuff cos there was no room in the kitchen fridge, but now with the maggots in there, she keeps well clear,,,

My sink stinks. Got a 1.5 bowl and it's fine running the tap, but when I empty a bowl or big pan of water I get a strong drains smell coming up, even when the plug's in the other bowl. There's no overflow, so the smell must be coming from the waste of the sink I'm using meaning an anti vac trap wouldn't help. I might have to phone a plumber Mrs Plum, is Tom available next week? laughing-dog-smiley-emoticon

I get stacks of calls to smelly sink wastes, the big problem is the bacteria that forms around the inside drum of modern low temperature washing machines and also inside the outlet pipe in fact it smells like rotten eggs on the final rinse/spin. You can try that Dr Beckman's washer cleaner and put the machine through a couple of boil washes (that's what I tell the custard anyway)
